Here's another one for the list: Save the Last Dance. I'm embarrassed to have seen this movie, but I think it fits nicely within the context Drumline and Bring It On because (a) it involves a somewhat preppy white girl who tries to learn hip-hop dancing, and (b) it has that oh-so-ubiquitous theme of incorporating urban hip-hop music/dancing/attitude into a classical audition that shocks the stuffy judges at first, but then wins them over in the end (in this case, at Julliard dance school). This movie also takes place in Chicago, which earns it additional bonus points.
