Why Doesn’t Anyone Like Hot Pink?
Monday, September 8th, 2008A few weeks ago I got fed up with the wall that divided my bathroom in two so I took out the top of it and made a giant mess in the process.

A cleaning-up-of-a-giant-mess later, I’ve decided I need to paint the bathroom to de-bore-ify it. I was thinking of brown — or maybe brown with some blue and green accents, but then Janel of Apartment Therapy suggested navy and it got me thinking.
A hue-and-saturation-fest-in-photoshop later, I have the following images. What do you all think?

The darker blue or the brown. I’m very serious about this.

I vote for the last one on the left. I had a reddish bathroom once and it was like showering in a womb. Not recommended.

For what it’s worth, I actually like the red (sorry, Julie), especially if you keep the shower area a light color. Second favorite is the dark blue above the red picture.

Add some purple polka-dots to the hot pink, and you’ve got it.

I recommend not going too dark and I’m a huge fan of accent walls.

Go for either the red or the one above it. Only a moron would use any of the other colors.

Hmm… no one likes the one I like on the bottom left.

CAN I SUBMIT A DESIGN? LEAVE IT WHITE AND AD SOME BASIC COLOR DETAILS OTHERWISE THE BOX WILL FEEL SMALLER.

I just love the look of the white - the other colors make it look so small and dull. I would keep the white and have natural accessorizes - like soapstone or bamboo.

Jose, if you want to send me a design, I’d love to see it. My e-mail address is at the upper right of this page. It’s not actually white now, even though that’s how the photo looks. The walls are actually beige.
